Oliva Peters graduated from the University of South Carolina with a degree in Exercise Science in 2014 and got busy right away becoming a Board-Certified Occupational Therapist specializing in pediatrics. She created two Occupational Therapy companies, one in the suburbs of Las Vegas and the other in New York City with a vision of helping any child with special needs reach their full potential through the use of evidence-based practice in fun and engaging life activities. She envisioned utilizing natural settings, such as, local parks, playgrounds and sports courts to create collaborative environments across multiple disciplines to maximize children’s continual growth.
Liv’s love for treating young children in a natural environment and watching their skills translate in real time was her passion. Liv’s other passions were exploring the outdoors, being a kind & caring friend to more people than can be counted and to live each day to its fullest! For this, the family hopes to spread these simple passions by Living Like Liv!
Her passions have moved her family to continue Liv’s life work and vision. They have created the Olivia S. Peters Pediatric Therapy Foundation to honor Liv’s memory. The goal of the foundation is to make a significant difference in the lives of young children Olivia was so moved to treat and touch. The Foundation (501C3) mission is twofold; first it will directly benefit underprivileged youth who do not have the means to afford these life changing therapies they need to thrive and to benefit those pediatric therapists following in Olivia’s footsteps.
